Gurudwara Darbar Sahib Kartarpur
Guru Nanak Dev Ji was the founder of Sikhism. He spent his last 18 years in Kartarpur. In the memory of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, a gurudwara was built in Kartarpur. It was built in 1925.
Kartarpur is located by the Ravi River in Narowal district, Pakistan. Kartarpur sahib cost was around 1,35,000 in 1925. It was fully restored and expanded in 2019. Kartarpur Sahib or Gurudwara Darbar Sahib is the Largest Gurudwara In the World. The total area of Gurudwara is 42 acres.

What is Kartarpur Corridor?
Kartarpur Corridor is the border corridor between Dera Baba nanak sahib (Punjab, India) to Gurudwara Darbar Sahib (Kartarpur, Pakistan). It is completed in November 2019. It will be inaugurated on 9th Nov 2019. Length of the corridor is around 6 Km. A major part of the road is in Pakistan. 4 Km area is in Pakistan and remaining area is in India.
In 1998 Kartar corridor opening was discussed by Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji and Nawaj Sharif who was Prime minister at that time. But 1999 war and 2008 Mumbai Attack Delayed the project. Still in 1999 Gurudwara was renovated and opened for Indian visitors. Before opening of Kartarpur corridor,Indian pilgrims see the Darbar sahib through binocular which was installed on Dera Baba Nanak Sahib.

Construction Details of Kartarpur Corridor
On 26 November 2018 Foundation stone was laid by Indian Side and just 2 days after foundation Stone of the Kartarpur corridor was laid by Pakistan also. Construction was done by Land Ports Authority of India and National Highway Authority of India from Indian side. In pakistan construction was done by FW contractor.

- Timing will be from 9am to 6pm
- No Tobacco, Smoking, and drinking will be allowed
- Visitor from India must have to come back on the same day
- Loud Music also will not be allowed
- The entry fee will be 20 Dollars.
- 800 m Bridge is constructed on Ravi river for the Corridor.
- 100 m bridge on Dera Baba Nanak Sahib is also constructed.
Gurudwara complex will be completed in phases. Currently, Phase 1 is completed. Phase-1 Consists of Gurudwara Expansion, Corridor Construction and Border Terminal which is complete now.
Phase-2 will consist of Hotels, Commercial spaces and conference hall. Phase-2 construction is not started yet.
Cost of Kartarpur Corridor Total Cost of the project is 120 Crores in Indian Rupees. Cost is divided in India and Pakistan it is around 15 crore for India and 105 Crore for Pakistan.
